Job Description
Robert Half's Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) program is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join our salaried consulting team. In this role, you will support a variety of client organizations by providing hands-on accounts payable and accounting support during periods of growth, system implementations, process improvements, audits, employee leave coverage, and other business-critical initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and timely
- Review, code, and enter invoices while ensuring proper approvals and supporting documentation
- Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Research and respond to vendor inquiries while maintaining positive business relationships
- Assist with month-end close, including AP accruals, account reconciliations, and journal entries
- Support expense reporting, credit card reconciliations, and employee reimbursement processes
- Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
- Participate in ERP implementations, system cleanups, and process improvement initiatives as needed
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams on special projects and audit requests
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
3+ years of accounts payable and general accounting experience
Experience working in high-volume AP environments
Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar platforms
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic reporting
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to quickly adapt to new systems, processes, and client environments
