Staff Pharmacist | Bentonville, Arkansas

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy position is available for a Staff Pharmacist in Bentonville, AR with a contract to hire opportunity. This role involves a diverse range of clinical and operational duties to support patient care and pharmacy management.

Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and usage patterns.
• Ensure lawful management and availability of medication supplies.
• Verify medication suitability for patients and manage confidential patient records.
• Counsel patients on medication administration, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Provide additional patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the use of medical devices including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile IV solutions following established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Maintain accurate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Identify drug-related patient issues and collaborate with healthcare providers including physicians and nurses.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Arkansas (AR license in-hand).
• Willingness to train retail pharmacists; experience with PV1 and PV2 medication verification duties preferred.
• Ability to perform some IV compounding.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills.

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Rotating weekends every 3 weeks
