Job Description
Title: Non-IT Project/Program Manager 101178
Location: onsite Decatur, IL 100% M-F (if not local must be open to relocating on own dime and must be onsite 2 weeks from offer day 1 of contract)
Type: Contract
Pay: $40.77/hr on w2-w2 only, no flex on rate
Hours: 8-5 M-F (40 hour work week)
Length: 12 months-large possibility to extend
Screenings: full panel drug and background once hired
IV process: 1 or 2 rounds
+optional benefits, long term contract with ability to extend or convert to full time
Must Haves:
- Min Years of experience: 2-4 years experience required
- Min Degree requirement: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- Verbal and written Communication skills
- Basic knowledge of the project life cycle
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time
- Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROJECT LIFE CYCLE
- Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
- Microsoft Project Experience (willing to train)
- Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients

- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. – ALWAYS WORKING WITH CLIENTS AND LEADING MEETINGS AT MANY DIFFERENT LEVELS – CONTROL/PLANNING MEETINGS AND REPORT OUT MEETINGS TO STAKEHOLDERS

Summary:
The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.
Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
• Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
• Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
Skills:
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Basic knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
• Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
• PMI or PMP certification preferred.
• 2-4 years experience required.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Part of 20+ member team. Managing project plans for different divisions in Decatur IL, for client. Team based in TUCSON, DECATUR, AURORA, PEORIA, AUSTRALIA
- Working on a lot of key client projects – NPI, Electrification, SUPPLY CHAIN AND OPERATIONS, CPI etc.
Typical task breakdown:
- Managing project plans in MSP, facilitating control meetings, facilitating project planning meetings, ensure quality of project plans, tracking risks, actions items and issues associated with projects.
Interaction with team:
- Project control meetings, PMO staff meetings, planning meetings
- Emails, MS Teams, In person meetings

- 20+ Team – Rolls up to 200+ global team member organization (Global Program Management)
