Journeyman Electrician - Power Generation

About this role

Seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to join a power generation expansion project at 9125 Cartledge Road, Box Springs, GA 31801. The work supports adding an approximately 240 MW simple-cycle, dual-fuel combustion turbine generator (CTG) to a site that already operates six simple-cycle units. This is hands-on, on-site industrial construction work. You will install, terminate, test and maintain medium-voltage distribution equipment, overcurrent devices, standby/emergency systems and CTG-related electrical systems. Work schedule is project-driven; be prepared for construction shifts and potential overtime to meet milestones.

What you'll do

• Install, terminate and test medium-voltage and low-voltage distribution equipment, switchgear and cables.
• Read and follow technical drawings, schematics and blueprint layouts for CTG and plant tie-in work.
• Install and set overcurrent protection devices, breakers and fuses; perform coordination checks and testing.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform corrective repairs on safety, amperage and wear-related issues.
• Install, test and maintain standby and emergency power systems tied to the combustion turbine generator.
• Coordinate with craft leads, instrumentation and mechanical crews to support system tie-ins and start-up activities.

What we're looking for

• Journeyman-level electrician experience in industrial or power generation construction.
• Hands-on experience with medium-voltage systems, switchgear and cable terminations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Skilled at troubleshooting electrical systems, identifying safety issues and performing repairs.
• Experience selecting and installing overcurrent protection devices and work on standby/emergency systems.
• Comfortable working in industrial construction environments and following site safety rules.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 required
• Journeyman electrician license or proof of equivalent journeyman status
• Proven medium-voltage training or field experience
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to 9125 Cartledge Road, Box Springs, GA 31801
