Job Description
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business
opportunities by identifying and qualifying potential clients. This role involves prospecting, lead
generation, and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers to drive growth. This position
requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to succeed in a
fast-paced, competitive environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Identify and research potential clients through various channels including cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking events.
• Qualifying Leads:
Engage with prospects to understand their needs and qualify their interest in Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery's services.
• Appointment Setting:
Schedule meetings and tours referral sources and with qualified leads.
• Relationship Building:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective
clients and referral sources to build trust and credibility.
• Market Research:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
• CRM Management:
Maintain accurate records of all interactions with prospects in the CRM system and provide regular reports on lead generation activities and outcomes.
• Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing team to develop strategies for reaching target markets and achieving sales objectives.
• Facility Support:
Provide support across the facility as needed to ensure smooth day to day operations. This may include assisting with intake of clients, facilitating therapeutic groups, or providing assistance managing the milieu.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferred
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a business development or sales role, preferably in the substance abuse and or mental health arena. (Detox, residential, or outpatient preferred).
• Licensure: Valid driver’s license, maintain auto insurance and have access to automobile.
• Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to generate leads and convert.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of self-motivation and resilience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Primarily field based, requiring frequent travel to meet with referral partners, attend networking events, and conduct community outreach.
• Time will be spent at the facility assisting the milieu, running groups, preforming administrative tasks, documentation, and team collaboration.
• The role may require flexibility in scheduling, including occasional evening or weekend events based on outreach opportunities
