Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Direct daily patient access operations, ensuring registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate staffing coverage for overnight and ongoing facility needs, adjusting assignments to maintain uninterrupted support in a 24/7 hospital environment.
• Supervise front-end revenue cycle personnel, providing guidance, resolving workflow challenges, and escalating critical issues when needed.
• Monitor team productivity and service performance to support contractual expectations and operational continuity across assigned locations.
• Oversee point-of-service collection support and reinforce established procedures that improve accuracy, accountability, and patient experience.
• Partner with hospital and operational leaders to address departmental concerns, streamline front-end processes, and maintain effective communication between teams.
• Promote compliance with organizational standards, payer requirements, and patient access procedures within acute care registration functions.
• Support hiring-related activities, team onboarding, and staff development efforts to strengthen departmental performance and coverage.
• Assist with operational changes or business process updates affecting patient access functions, ensuring a smooth transition within daily workflows.
• At least 3 years of experience in hospital-based patient access, patient registration, or acute care revenue cycle operations.
• Prior supervisory, lead, or team oversight experience in a healthcare access or revenue cycle setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple facilities and departments.
• Practical knowledge of insurance verification, financial clearance, and collection-related processes in a hospital environment.
• Ability to manage staffing priorities, performance oversight, and issue resolution in a fast-paced, 24/7 operation.
• Solid understanding of compliance expectations, service level commitments, and front-end operational standards.
• Comfortable working primarily on a night shift schedule with flexibility to support varying operational demands.
• No license or certification is required for this position.
