Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as required by the unit
• Accurately document patient care and clinical data using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, achieving an acceptable score on both
• Fulfill expected holiday rotation, working at least every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Epic charting experience within the last 6 months is required
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months — Charge RN references are accepted; co-worker references will not be considered
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single Med/Surg Telemetry location preferred, though combined experience across locations may be considered
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation in a clinical setting
• Prior travel nursing experience within a large health system environment
