Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections company, is now hiring a CDL Driver Trainee or an Entry Level CDL Driver in Anchorage, AK.

If you're a hard worker with a great attitude and a clean driving record, this is your chance to get paid between $19.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience, while you train and then transition into a full-time CDL driving role.

π Hereβs How It Works
\n- \n
- π΅ $19.00 per hour during your training phase \n
- π« Complete a weeklong classroom course, behind-the-wheel training, and road test \n
- πͺͺ Earn your Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement \n
- π Step into a full-time Local Driver role at $25.00 per hour \n
\n
π Training Timeline
\nYou can complete the full process and start your driving career in as little as 3 weeks! Most individuals can get it within a few months!
\n\n
Do you already have your CDL? If so, you will start at $25.00 and we will train you the right way on how to safely drive a garbage truck and you will be able to run a route all by yourself after training.
\n\n
π Once You're a CDL Driver, Youβll:
\n- \n
- Operate a garbage truck safely on local routes \n
- Collect solid waste and recyclables from residential and commercial customers \n
- Follow route sheets and work independently \n
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance \n
- Provide friendly, professional service to customers \n
\n
π What Youβll Need
\n- \n
- β A valid Class D license and ability to obtain a CDL permit within 90 days of start date, or, \n
- β A valid Class B or Class A CDL with Air Brake endorsement. \n
- π§Ύ A clean driving record \n
- πͺ Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions \n
- π£ Strong communication + basic reading/writing skills (English required) \n
- π High school diploma or GED preferred \n
- πΌ 1+ year of general work experience (related experience is a plus) \n
