Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the ERS – CA:

\n

\n
• Act in capacity of an Exercise & Response Specialist, primarily as the Subject Matter Expert regarding Exercise Compliance & Incident Response in California.
\n
• Must be well versed in exercises and all hazard incidents involving vessels, facilities, and pipelines.
\n
• Must be proficient in the Incident Command System (ICS) and be able to act as a coach and perform duties as Incident Commander, Section Chief, or other related roles in either participating in small, medium and large-scale exercises and/or incident responses.
\n
• Assist other GMS Response Managers with remote support and/or deployment during incident responses throughout the USA.
\n
• Serve as the GMS client and regulatory agency liaison while also growing our response preparedness network in California.
\n
• Represent the company at Area Committee Meetings and similar industry meetings in a professional manner.
\n
• Serve as a Qualified Individual (QI), standing watch on both weekdays and weekends.
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Readily available to deploy for exercises and incidents for extended periods of time, as needed.
\n
• Available to work extended hours including after hours, weekends, and holidays.
\n
• Familiarization with Federal and California State regulations for vessels and facilities.
\n
• Familiarization with maritime nomenclature.
