Artificial Intelligence Researcher

I’m working with an AI Lab that is internal to a leading systematic trading firm. The team is seeking a five additional ML researchers that could be particularly interesting to work on pretraining and dataset design.

The challenge is to find useful structure in large, noisy datasets and turn it into signals that work in live markets. You’d have ownership from research idea through deployment, with direct P&L participation. Experience in data curation, large-scale training, representation learning, or rigorous model evaluation would be especially relevant.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of applied ML experience, strong Python skills, and a track record of building models or datasets that deliver results beyond controlled experiments. Prior trading experience is not essential.

\n

The package includes a $450K base and expected TC of $1M–$2M, including sign-on and performance bonuses. The firm can accommodate non-competes of up to 12 months for exceptional candidates.
