Daily routines offer meaningful opportunities for recovery. Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist at Autumn Lake at Scotch Plains to help skilled nursing residents improve self-care skills, adapt to functional changes, and prepare for their next level of care.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate residents' ability to complete everyday activities, considering physical function, cognition, safety awareness, and prior routines.

• Establish individualized treatment plans with practical, measurable goals.

• Deliver therapy addressing dressing, bathing, toileting, functional transfers, and upper-extremity use.

• Identify adaptive equipment needs and teach techniques that support independence and energy conservation.

• Review treatment responses, update care plans, and provide clinical direction to COTAs.

• Document evaluations and services, educate caregivers, and contribute to interdisciplinary discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Occupational Therapist license.

• Sound clinical reasoning and strong treatment planning skills.

• Effective communication and timely, accurate documentation.

• Skilled nursing experience is helpful; new graduates are welcome to apply.
