About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Fire Alarm CAD Designer to join its design team remotely. You'll produce code-compliant fire alarm system designs and submittal packages from concept through AHJ approval, working closely with project managers, installation teams, and [other trades/engineers].

Responsibilities
- Design and specify detailed fire alarm and suppression systems adhering to local, state, and national codes, regulations, and standards.
- Perform field surveys and attend project specific meetings
- Conduct thorough reviews of architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compatibility of design.
- Provide expert technical advice and solutions to complex design challenges.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and client teams to ensure specifications and designs meet quality and safety standards.
- Manage and oversee multiple design projects from concept through completion
- Obtain permits as required, including all related duties such as preparation, delivery, corrections, etc.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the Hiller technicians and office staff to facilitate effective communications and exceptional customer service
- Stay updated with latest technologies and changes in fire protection regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level III certification
- 5+ years of fire alarm system design experience
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable building and fire codes
- Proficiency in [AutoCAD / Revit / other]
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level IV certification
