We are recruiting a Director of Emergency Services for a community hospital in Southeastern New Mexico that is preparing to expand its Emergency Department.

The ED currently sees approximately 15,000 visits annually, and the planned expansion will create additional treatment capacity, and give the incoming Director an opportunity to influence staffing, patient flow, team development and how the department operates as it grows.

This is a smaller community hospital with real momentum behind it.

In 2026, the hospital received a Momentum Award for measurable improvement across clinical operations, employee engagement and patient experience. It has also earned national recognition for rural hospital outcomes, Emergency Care and Emergency Timeliness, along with seven consecutive Leapfrog “A” Hospital Safety Grades through Spring 2024.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for an RN leader with Emergency Services experience who enjoys being close to the operation and wants the opportunity to lead, build and develop a team.

Requirements include:

• BSN required; candidates currently enrolled in an accredited BSN program with a scheduled completion date may be considered
• 3+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience
• Master's degree preferred
• Certification in a clinical specialty or nursing administration preferred
