About this job
Job Description
Join a team that values craftsmanship over repetition. In our job shop (not a production line), you’ll lead with your expertise on Haas CNC mills—setting up complex work, tuning processes in real time, and collaborating to deliver parts right the first time.
Your impactFrom the moment you study the drawing, you’re mapping the path to manufacture: staging material with an overhead crane, selecting the best tools and accessories, and locking down fixtures for rock-solid hold. On the machine, you bring the plan to life—monitoring feed and speed, making precise edits when needed, and validating that dimensions and tolerances stay on target. You’ll choose the tools, machines, and materials that fit each job and keep work flowing smoothly with minimal oversight.
Core responsibilities- End-to-end setup and operation of Haas CNC milling centers
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials
- Operate overhead cranes for safe material handling and staging
- Continuously monitor machining conditions; adjust feeds/speeds and edit as required
- Read blueprints, drawings, and engineering info to define operation methods and sequences
- Determine and verify product dimensions and tolerances
- Select tools, machines, and materials appropriate to each assignment
- 5–10 years of hands-on CNC machining experience
- Strong command of Haas milling setup and operation (Haas experience preferred)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and plan efficient workflows
- Self-starter mindset, team-oriented, comfortable working with minimal supervision
$28–$35 per hour, dependent on experience.
