Job Description
Industrial Equipment Reliability Technician — Louisville, KY

Picture your workday: the production floor hums to life in Louisville as you move through the lines, eyes and ears tuned to the rhythm of the machinery. You start with a quick walk-through, checking critical assets and noting items for preventive care. When something isn’t running as it should, you’re the steady hand that gets us back on track—safely and efficiently.

What your day looks like

Morning: You begin with scheduled preventive tasks to keep downtime low—lubrication, alignments, inspections, and component checks. You update maintenance logs as you go, capturing what was done and what’s next.

Midday: A line signals a fault. You isolate the problem, diagnose whether it’s mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic in nature, and make the repair. You collaborate with operators to confirm the issue is resolved and the equipment is performing at its best.

Afternoon: You assist with the setup and installation of new machinery—mounting, leveling, and supporting start-up. Before you finish, you tidy the work area, verify guards and safety devices, and plan tomorrow’s maintenance priorities.

How you’ll make an impact
  • Carry out scheduled upkeep and corrective repairs on production equipment and plant machinery.
  • Pinpoint and fix faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Execute preventive maintenance to extend asset life and prevent unplanned outages.
  • Document actions, parts used, and findings with complete and accurate records.
  • Work closely with production to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.
  • Support equipment installs and start-ups as new assets arrive on site.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly work area and strictly follow safety procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training to expand your skills and stay current.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or GED; a technical program or industrial maintenance certification is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a closely related trade.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles.
  • Ability to read and apply technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Keen troubleshooting ability and strong attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including some weekends and overtime.
