Responsibilities: • SetupandoperateCNCand/ormanualmachiningequipmenttomanufactureprecision components • Readandinterpretengineeringdrawings, blueprints,specifications, tolerances, and work instructions • Performmachinesetups,includingselection and installation of appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding • Verifyprograms,tooling, offsets, and setup requirements prior tomachining • Performin-processinspectionsto ensurepartsmeetdrawingand customer requirements • Useprecisionmeasuringequipmentsuchasmicrometers,calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other inspection tools • Maintainclosetolerancesand consistently produce partsthat meetquality requirements • Identifymachiningorqualityissues and communicateconcernstosupervision and Quality Assurance • Completerequiredjobtravelers, inspection documentation, and other production records accurately • Maintainequipmentandworkareasinaclean,safe,and organized condition • Followcompanyqualityprocedures,safety requirements, and applicablecustomer requirements • Assistandprovideguidancetoless-experienced machinistswhen needed Qualifications: • PreviousexperienceasaClassA,Senior,orhighly experienced Machinist in aprecision manufacturing environment • StrongCNCmachiningandsetupexperience • Abilitytoindependentlysetupand operatemachiningequipment • Strongunderstandingofmachiningprocesses, cuttingtools, speeds, feeds, andtooling selection • Abilitytoreadandunderstand complexengineeringdrawingsand specifications • WorkingknowledgeofGD&Tanddimensionaltolerances • Proficient with precision measuring and inspection equipment • Abilitytotroubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues • Strongattentiontodetail and commitmenttoquality • Abilitytoworkindependently aswell aspart ofateam • Dependableattendanceandstrongworkethic Preferred Experience: Experience with CNClathesand mills, multi-axis machining, CNC programming, CAD/CAM software, and precision machining of complexcomponentsispreferred. Experience working within a controlled Quality Management Systemormanufacturingpartsto stringent customer, nuclear, government, or other highly regulated requirements is also beneficial.
