 The client is seeking a dependable and skilled ClassBMachinist to join our manufacturingteam. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience, a good understanding of CNC machiningpractices, andthe ability toproducequalityparts whilefollowing drawings, work instructions, and established manufacturing procedures. Responsibilities • SetupandoperateCNCand/ormanualmachiningequipmentwithlimited supervision. • Manufacturepartsaccordingtoengineeringdrawings, specifications, work instructions, and job requirements. • Readandinterpretblueprints,technical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances. • Selectandinstall appropriatetooling and make routinemachine adjustmentsasnecessary. • Verifytooling, offsets, and setup information beforeandduring machining operations. • Performin-processinspectionsto verify parts meet specified requirements. • Useprecisionmeasuringequipment,includingcalipers,micrometers, indicators, height gauges, and other inspection tools. • Monitormachiningoperationsand identifyproblemswith tooling, dimensions, surface finish, or machineperformance. • Makeroutineadjustmentstomaintaindimensional requirementsand tolerances. • AccuratelycompleteManufacturingandInspection Travelersand other requiredproduction and inspection documentation. • Reportmachining,drawing,tooling, or qualityconcerns to the appropriate supervisor or Quality Assurance personnel. • Followestablished quality,safety, andmanufacturing procedures. • Maintainmachines,tooling, and workareasinaclean, safe, and organized condition. • Workcooperativelywithsenior machinists, supervisors, QualityAssurance, and other production personnel. Qualifications • Previousexperienceworkingasamachinist orCNCmachinist inamanufacturingenvironment. • Experiencesettingup and operatingCNCmachiningequipment. • Abilitytoreadand interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. • Workingknowledgeofmachiningpractices,cuttingtools, speeds, feeds, andbasic tooling selection. • Abilitytounderstanddimensional tolerancesand basic GD&Trequirements. • Experienceusingprecision measuringand inspection equipment. • Abilitytoperform routine machine setupsand adjustmentswith limited supervision. • Strongattentiontodetail and commitmenttoproducingqualitywork. • Abilitytofollow writtenprocedures, work instructions, and job-specific requirements. • Dependableattendanceandabilitytoworkeffectivelyaspart of amanufacturingteam. Preferred Experience Experience with CNClathes, CNC mills, multi-axis equipment, and precisionmachining is preferred. Experience working in a controlled manufacturing environment where documentation, traceability, inspection, and customer-specificquality requirementsare important is also beneficial. WhatWe'reLookingFor The ideal Class BMachinist hasasolid foundation in machining and iscapable of completingroutine setups andmachiningoperationswith limited supervision. This individualshould be comfortable reading drawings, using precision measuring equipment,making necessary machining adjustments, and verifying that their work meets established requirements. AClassBMachinist should also bewilling tolearn moreadvanced setups,machiningtechniques, programming, and troubleshooting while working alongside more experienced machinists.
