Immediate Openings | $2,000 Sign-On Bonus | Full-Time Opportunity
Location: Chula Vista, CA and surrounding cities
Schedule: Monday–Sunday | 24/7 coverage | 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts
Pay: 32.00–38.00/hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location

We are seeking full-time Radiologic Technologists to support the Radiology Department at Naval Medical Center. What You'll Do
Core Radiologic Duties
- Perform routine diagnostic radiologic procedures and services in accordance with established protocols.
- Position patients correctly for examinations and make appropriate technical adjustments to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Determine appropriate patient preparation requirements for each examination.
- Operate radiologic equipment for routine diagnostic examinations.
- Perform diagnostic studies involving the extremities, chest, abdomen, head, and other required anatomical areas.
- Process digital images and submit appropriate image series to radiologists for interpretation.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, examination information, and anatomical positioning markers.
- Explain procedures clearly to patients and provide compassionate care to reduce anxiety and promote cooperation.
- Administer contrast media when ordered and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Observe and immediately report relevant patient symptoms or changes in condition to the radiologist or appropriate medical personnel.
Radiation Safety & Equipment
- Follow all radiation safety policies and procedures established by the Radiology Department.
- Determine appropriate technical factors, including voltage, current, and exposure time.
- Use immobilization and support devices as necessary to obtain precise positioning and minimize patient discomfort.
- Perform equipment calibrations and quality-control procedures as directed.
- Recognize image artifacts, equipment errors, and outlying quality-control results and report them appropriately.
- Initiate equipment repair procedures when malfunctions occur and document problems according to established protocols.
- Maintain radiologic equipment and complete required routine maintenance activities.
- Document examinations, procedures, equipment issues, and other required information in accordance with facility policies.
Patient Care & Emergency Response
- Provide professional, humane, and appropriate care throughout the examination process.
- Assist patients with positioning, transfers, and preparation while maintaining safety and dignity.
- Recognize complications or adverse reactions to contrast media and promptly notify the radiologist.
- Recognize emergency situations, including cardiac or respiratory arrest, and initiate appropriate emergency measures within the scope of training and facility protocols.
- Perform unscheduled or urgent diagnostic procedures as directed by the requesting physician.
- Complete required clinical and administrative documentation for each examination.
What You'll Need — Mandatory Qualifications
Education:
- Certificate or graduation from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or experience in the specialty area identified for the position.
Certification:
- Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in the required radiologic specialty.
Life Support Certification:
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
Security:
- Must possess the ability to successfully pass a government background check/security clearance.

Sign-On Bonus Criteria
To qualify for the $2,000 sign-on bonus:
- Agree to complete one year of service.
- Sign the offer letter within 2 days of receipt.
- Submit all required credentialing, security, and occupational health documentation.
- Complete all required forms within 7 days.
- Successfully complete the required onboarding and credentialing process.
Bonus is paid after 90 days of service, subject to all applicable criteria.
