Assistant Furniture Installer/Delivery Driver
Location: Fairbanks, Alaska
Pay: $23/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Looking for a hands-on position that combines delivery, installation, and light mechanical work? TDL Staffing is seeking a reliable Assistant Furniture Installer/Delivery Driver to support commercial furniture deliveries and installations throughout the Fairbanks area.
This position involves driving a company box truck, loading and unloading furniture, assembling and installing office furnishings, and assisting with projects at customer offices and other secured locations. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand and power tools, and able to handle the physical demands of furniture installation work.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, transport, unload, and deliver furniture to customer job sites
- Drive a company box truck to various project locations
- Assemble and install desks, chairs, cabinets, workstations, cubicles, shelving, and other office furniture
- Install cabinets, bookshelves, tack boards, and related fixtures
- Follow blueprints, job tickets, and project instructions
- Prepare and clean job sites before and after installation
- Assist with furniture repairs and adjustments as needed
- Organize products and materials for efficient delivery and installation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized truck and warehouse workspace
- Provide professional and courteous service while working at customer locations
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Alaska driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 3–5 years of driving experience, including at least 1 year of winter driving experience
- Must be able to access military bases and other secured locations; Real ID required
- Previous experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs independently and perform the physical demands of furniture installation work
- Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical
- Background screening is a part of the hiring process
- Must support a drug free work environment
