Job Description
Client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bevel/Tilt Saw Operator to join their 1st shift production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating saws or production machinery and be comfortable working with measurements, work orders, and production specifications. This position involves cutting and shaping foam materials to precise dimensions and angles while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate bevel/tilt saw equipment to cut foam materials according to specifications.
- Set up and adjust saws, guides, and cutting angles for production runs.
- Read and follow work orders, measurements, and production instructions.
- Accurately measure foam before and after cutting.
- Load, position, and safely feed foam materials through the saw.
- Inspect finished products for proper dimensions, angles, and quality.
- Make basic machine adjustments to maintain accurate and consistent cuts.
- Identify material defects and report quality issues to the supervisor.
- Move, stack, and stage finished foam products for the next production process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform basic equipment cleaning and routine maintenance.
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Work effectively with team members and communicate production or equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating saws, cutting equipment, or manufacturing machinery preferred.
- Manufacturing, production, woodworking, or foam-cutting experience is a plus.
- Ability to read measurements and follow written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle foam materials.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work as part of a production team.
- Ability to learn equipment and production processes quickly.
