Job Description
Do You Keep Complex Operations Running Smoothly?

If questions like these sound like your world, we want to talk:

  • Can you set up a tote line, dial in weights, and document every step—without missing a detail?
  • Are you comfortable loading both dry and liquid sweeteners into trailers and railcars and verifying specs?
  • When quality data drifts, do you know how to adjust machine settings and loop in the team quickly?
Your Impact

In this role, you ensure food-grade sugar gets milled, packaged, and shipped exactly as promised. You’ll uphold regulatory requirements and the rigor of SQF and GMP standards while collaborating with teammates to solve problems fast.

Core Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate the sugar tote-filling machine; confirm correct weights and labels.
  • Fill and precisely measure bulk sugar in trailers and railcars per customer requirements.
  • Load and verify liquid sugar co-products using trailers and railcars.
  • Perform quality checks and record results; update computer records and adjust machine programming when directed.
  • Train to operate the powdered sugar mill and consistently achieve specification targets.
  • Flag and communicate equipment or process issues to the team leader for quick resolution.
  • Follow all safety procedures and good manufacturing practices.
  • Take on other assignments as production demands shift.
What You Bring
  • Production environment experience preferred.
  • Everyday comfort with computers; able to learn simple HMI/program updates.
  • Commitment to learning and promoting SQF and GMP quality systems; prior exposure is a plus.
  • Ready to complete fork-truck training, maintain a valid fork truck license, and operate as required.
  • Willing to work any shift with weekend overtime as needed.
  • Physically capable of climbing stairs/ladders, navigating catwalks, bending, and lifting.
  • High school diploma preferred.
How You Work
  • Team-oriented communicator who keeps everyone informed.
  • Flexible and steady under changing priorities.
  • Decisive problem-solver with a self-starting, positive approach.
  • Detail-obsessed when it comes to weights, measures, and documentation.
Physical & Safety Notes
  • Repetitive lifting/carrying up to 40–50 lbs.
  • Items above 50 lbs require a teammate’s help or mechanical assistance.

This is a dynamic role; responsibilities listed here are representative but not exhaustive.
