Sigma, Inc. is seeking a HR Manager to work remote.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9.00 AM - 4.00 PM, Temporary role

Experience conducting workplace investigations, knowledge of employment laws and HR policies, experience consulting leaders on employees concerns, preferred: experience conducting investigations in manufacturing or other operational environments with hourly/non-exempt workforces

Key Responsibilities:
  • The Employee Relations Investigator serves as a neutral fact-finder responsible for conducting workplace investigations, providing guidance on employee relations matters, and supporting the fair and consistent resolution of workplace concerns.
  • This role manages investigations involving alleged policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace conduct concerns, and other employee complaints.
  • The investigator partners closely with Employee Relations, Human Resources Business Partners, Labor Relations, Legal, Global Security, and business leaders to assess facts, document findings, and support consistent, compliant outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required, along with a minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, workplace investigations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough, objective, and defensible workplace investigations.
  • Strong interviewing, fact-finding, analytical, and report-writing skills are required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, assess credibility, and manage sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult and collaborate with Human Resources Business Partners and leaders on employee relations matters, provide practical guidance, assess risk, and recommend appropriate courses of action while balancing business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, organizational, and relationship-building skills are required.


Preferred Experience & Education:

  • Experience conducting investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace misconduct, ethics concerns, and other policy violations is preferred.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production, distribution, or unionized environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience utilizing case management systems such as HR Acuity, Navex, EthicsPoint, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Professional certifications related to workplace investigations, human resources, employee relations, conflict resolution, or employment law are considered a plus.
