Chemical Operator

Job Title: Chemical Operator – Loader / Packager

Location: Torrance, CA 90503

Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire

Pay: $20–$24/hr.

Shift: Day shift initially; then rotating 12-hour day/night shifts

**Job Summary:

**We are seeking a Chemical Operator – Loader/Packager to support chemical manufacturing, packaging, shipping, and plant operations. The role involves loading/unloading materials, packaging finished products, operating and inspecting equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks, railcars, and ISO containers.
• Fill and package drums and totes.
• Sample, weigh, and inspect materials.
• Operate and monitor plant/process equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow all safety and HSEQ procedures.
• Properly handle and dispose of waste/hazardous materials.
• Complete required training and documentation.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Chemical or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Good math and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Comfortable with physical work and working indoors/outdoors.
• Must be willing to work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts.
