Job Description
At Champions First Credit Union, being a champion is more than a name; it’s how we show up for our members, our communities, and each other. We’re growing across North Florida, and we’re looking for a friendly, knowledgeable Member Service Specialist to help us keep that promise.
If you enjoy helping people with their finances, like variety in your day, and want to build a career, not just take a job, this is your opportunity.
What’s in It for You?
We take care of our team the way we ask our team to take care of our members:
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Tuition reimbursement
- Comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) Retirement Plan, up to 4% employer match
- Profit sharing program
- Generous paid time off; vacation, sick, and personal time, federal holidays, your birthday, and your work anniversary
What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of our Member Service team, you’ll be a trusted, helpful face for our members at both the service desk and the teller line. Your role will include:
- Delivering an exceptional member experience by providing friendly, accurate, and professional service during every interaction.
- Working comfortably in a dual-role environment, providing personalized one-on-one member service in an office setting and assisting members with transactions on the teller line.
- Processing a variety of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing, cash advances, and monetary instrument purchases.
- Opening new accounts and assist with loan inquiries by explaining available products, completing system entries, and collecting required documentation.
- Identifying member needs and recommend appropriate products and services that support members’ financial goals.
- Resolving routine and complex member service issues by researching concerns, explaining policies, and identifying effective solutions.
- Supporting daily branch operations, including cash management, branch and vault balancing, night deposits, ATM deposits, and other cash equipment.
- Following established security, documentation, and regulatory requirements while serving as a knowledgeable resource for teller questions, complicated transactions, and balancing issues.
NOTE: The list of essential functions is not exhaustive. It may be supplemented as necessary from time to time.
