Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex automotive mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting to identify the root causes of vehicle performance concerns, including intermittent problems.
- Diagnose and repair engine performance, drivability, ignition, fuel delivery, and emissions-related concerns.
- Diagnose electrical system faults, including wiring, sensors, charging systems, and starting systems.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair major vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, document diagnostic findings, and recommend necessary repairs.
- Complete preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and quality workmanship.
- Communicate complex diagnostic findings and repair recommendations clearly to shop leadership and other technicians.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on automotive diagnostic and repair experience required.
- Strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing engine performance, drivability, and electrical system concerns.
- Ability to independently diagnose vehicle problems, determine root causes, and complete accurate repairs.
- Must own automotive tools appropriate for advanced diagnostic and mechanical repair work.
- Strong attention to detail, efficient work habits, and commitment to high-quality repairs.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to explain diagnostic findings and repair recommendations.
Compensation & Benefits
- $25–$30 per hour, paid weekly.
