Daycare Teacher / Early Childhood Educator

About the Opportunity

Jungle Town Daycare and Preschool is looking for dedicated, experienced childcare teachers to join our early childhood education team in Chattanooga, TN.

We're seeking individuals who genuinely enjoy working with young children, understand the importance of early childhood development, and take pride in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.

Our educators work as part of a co-teaching team, supporting infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children through structured learning, age-appropriate activities, and positive interactions.

If you have professional childcare experience, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for helping young children learn and grow, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment.
• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate learning activities using the Abeka curriculum.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and developmental growth.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers in a co-teaching classroom.
• Guide children's behavior using positive, age-appropriate techniques.
• Monitor children's progress and document developmental observations.
• Communicate professionally with parents and families.
• Maintain daily classroom records and parent updates using the Brightwheel App.
• Follow established childcare health, safety, and supervision procedures.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of professional experience working in early childhood education or a childcare setting.
• Understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate classroom activities.
• Ability to supervise and engage groups of young children safely and effectively.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
• A dependable, patient, and caring approach to working with children.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of professional childcare or early childhood education experience.
• Current infant and child CPR certification.
• Current first aid certification.
• Experience using the Abeka curriculum or Brightwheel App.
