In this senior role, you will be deeply involved in greenfield projects, taking systems from initial design vendor collaboration through startup, operational handover, and continuous optimization. You will serve as a technical expert for critical infrastructure, including Gas Cabinets, Chemical Delivery Modules (CDMs), Valve Manifold Boxes/Panels (VMBs/VMPs), chemical control systems, and Toxic Gas Monitoring Systems (TGMS).
What You Will Be DoingDesign, Construction & Commissioning

  • Collaborate closely with design vendors to ensure all gas and chemical system requirements and specifications are met.
  • Review engineering drawings, submittals, and field installation progress during construction.
  • Direct commissioning activities, including equipment preparation, operational testing, and loop checks.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system abnormalities during the construction and startup phases.
  • Manage documentation, manuals, systems databases, and formal handover processes for operations.

Operations, Maintenance & Reliability

  • Provide ongoing engineering support to ensure the safe, continuous, and reliable operation of Gas Cabinets, CDMs, VMBs, VMPs, chemical control systems, and TGMS.
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and maintain accurate operating/maintenance procedures.
  • Apply reliability engineering principles, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), to resolve chronic issues and prevent downtime.
  • Conduct system evaluations and implement continuous improvement initiatives through capital and expense projects.

Capacity Planning & Cross-Discipline Coordination

  • Perform system capacity planning, shutdown planning, and expansion strategies to support scaling production demands.
  • Coordinate effectively with adjacent facility disciplines, including Automation, Industrial Wastewater/Drains, Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Exhaust, and Environmental Systems.
  • Ensure all systems strictly comply with internal safety standards, local codes, and environmental regulations.

What You Must Have

  • Experience: 8+ years of facilities engineering experience focused on gas and chemical system design and operations.
  • Greenfield Project Requirement: Direct hands-on experience working on greenfield (new construction) projects is required. Proven experience in design, construction, commissioning, and startup is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • In-depth understanding and operational knowledge of Gas Cabinets, CDMs, VMBs, VMPs, chemical control systems, and Toxic Gas Monitoring Systems (TGMS).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and mark up complex engineering drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Knowledge of adjacent facility systems (Automation, Drains, UPW, Exhaust, and Environmental Systems).
  • Professional Competencies: Strong analytical, decision-making, and time-management skills; proficiency in MS Office and specialized engineering tools.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineering (PE) License is a plus.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
