AmeriTransit Of NC is seeking dependable, patient, caring, and safety-focused drivers to
provide safe and reliable transportation for students with special needs to and from school.
DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
• Safely transport special needs students to and
from school.
• Provide patient, respectful, and professional
service.
• Follow all student transportation and safety
procedures.
• Arrive on time for all scheduled routes.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip safety
checks.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional
vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with parents,
schools, and AmeriTransit staff.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must pass required criminal background checks.
• Must meet applicable Wake County driver
requirements.
• Must complete required drug and alcohol
testing.
• CPR training/certification required.
• Must complete required driver training.
• Must be dependable, punctual, patient, and
professional.
• Special needs student transportation experience
is preferred.
