Job Description

The Electrical Project Manager oversees and directs electrical construction projects from conception through completion within the Electrical / Construction & Industrial department. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager/VP of Construction, this role manages planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, documentation, and communication among clients, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and internal teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high safety and quality standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage electrical construction projects, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, clients, and internal teams to support accurate, timely project execution.
  • Estimate project costs and provide project cost analysis.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, technical documents, and specifications.
  • Procure materials and manage subcontractor relationships.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and quality.
  • Manage project documentation, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeouts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, applicable codes, NEC requirements, and company policies.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Track project performance and provide updates to senior leadership.
  • Walk construction sites, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Travel occasionally to job sites and wear required job-site PPE, including a hard hat and safety glasses.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience in electrical construction, including at least two years in project management.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code, electrical systems, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to use a computer and telephone frequently.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
