Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pump / Turbine Mechanic to join a growing company specializing in industrial rotating equipment repair, maintenance, and rebuilding.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with industrial pumps, turbines, compressors, gearboxes, or similar rotating equipment. We are looking for someone who is mechanically strong, takes pride in their work, and has the drive to continue learning and advancing their skills.

Candidates with strong pump or turbine experience are encouraged to apply. Experience with both is a plus but not required.

Job Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble industrial pumps, turbines, and other rotating equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical failures, worn components, and equipment performance issues.
• Perform repairs and rebuilds on centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, bearings, shafts, and related components.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, alignment issues, and mechanical defects.
• Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.
• Perform shaft alignment, bearing installation, seal replacement, and mechanical adjustments.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals.
• Assist with equipment testing and quality inspections following repairs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and equipment conditions.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience repairing or maintaining industrial pumps, turbines, or rotating equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with equipment disassembly, inspection, and reassembly.
• Knowledge of bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, and mechanical components.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with mechanical drawings and equipment specifications preferred.
• Experience with centrifugal pumps, steam turbines, or industrial compressors is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Strong work ethic, initiative, and willingness to continue learning are essential.

• Steam or gas turbine maintenance

• Shaft alignment and precision measurements
• Industrial maintenance or millwright experience
• Refinery, petrochemical, power generation, or rotating equipment repair shop experience
