PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR (ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD SERVICES)
Environmental Contracting- Environmental Construction- Industrial Services- Environmental Field Services
A well-established environmental services company in the Greater Reading, Pennsylvania area is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator with a background in environmental services, remediation, construction, demolition, industrial services, or related field operations.
This is a hands-on position responsible for developing project scopes and estimates, coordinating subcontractors and field resources, and managing projects from initial site assessment through completion.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct site visits and evaluate project conditions, scope, and resource requirements
- Develop detailed scopes of work, estimates, proposals, and project budgets
- Prepare RFPs and obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors
- Coordinate subcontractors, materials, equipment, and field personnel
- Manage environmental remediation, construction, demolition, and related field-service projects
- Coordinate waste handling, transportation, and disposal activities
- Develop project schedules and oversee day-to-day field execution
- Manage customer relationships and serve as the primary project point of contact
- Monitor project costs, schedules, quality, and overall performance
- Oversee site safety and ensure appropriate health, safety and environmental requirements are followed
- Coordinate sampling, documentation, and regulatory requirements as applicable
- Manage project documentation, invoicing, and closeout
- Provide solutions and alternative approaches as field conditions change
- Participate in emergency response activities and provide field support when required
The ideal candidate will come from an environmental contracting, environmental construction, demolition, industrial services, or environmental field-services background.
Particularly valuable experience includes:
- Client and subcontractor relations
- Construction and/or demolition project management
- Environmental remediation and site restoration
- Estimating and proposal development
- Field crew and jobsite management
- Hazardous materials and environmental regulations
- Scheduling and coordination of multiple projects
- Subcontractor management and procurement
- Waste handling and disposal
CORE COMPETENCIES
- 3+ years of relevant project management, estimating, field-services experience
- Ability to develop scopes of work and accurately estimate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs
- Strong understanding of construction, demolition, remediation, or environmental field operations
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational, communication and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable working in both office and field environments
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and project-management software
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in changing field conditions
- Valid driver's license
