Description
Senior Electrical Engineer / Professional Engineer (PE) We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) with expertise in advanced technology and mission-critical facility projects. This individual will lead complex electrical engineering efforts, mentor junior team members, and provide technical leadership in the design, analysis, and optimization of power distribution systems for industrial, commercial, and high-tech facilities. Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership Provide technical leadership and support for electrical engineering projects and services. Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting their technical growth and project execution. Ensure engineering analyses, studies, and designs comply with applicable IEEE, NFPA, NEC, and industry standards. Review engineering deliverables for technical accuracy, quality, and adherence to project schedules. Conduct site visits to gather design requirements, assess existing conditions, resolve technical issues, and support project execution. Collaborate with project managers, business development teams, and technical staff during project planning, estimating, and proposal development. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, structural engineers, and architects. Electrical Engineering & Analysis Develop detailed design packages and construction documents for facility electrical systems, including 480V and below power distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and related infrastructure. Create and maintain electrical one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, and control schematics. Prepare project budgets, technical reports, and executive-level presentations. Perform reliability, redundancy, demand load, and capacity analyses. Develop operating procedures and system documentation for mission-critical and industrial power systems. Support commissioning planning, testing, startup activities, and documentation. Perform short-circuit studies, protective device coordination studies, arc-flash analyses, load flow studies, and power quality assessments. Electrical Distribution Design Design, modify, and upgrade electrical distribution systems, including MCCs, switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, and protective devices. Develop, review, and revise electrical drawings, specifications, and construction packages. Project Management Lead electrical engineering projects from concept through commissioning and closeout. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives. Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Troubleshooting & Technical Solutions Diagnose electrical system issues and develop practical, cost-effective solutions. Provide technical recommendations to improve system reliability, maintainability, and operational performance. Support root-cause investigations and corrective action development for power system deficiencies.
