Job Description
This role involves assembling mechanical and electrical components for aircraft in a fast-paced production environment at a facility in Collegeville, PA. You will use hand and power tools, follow written instructions and schematics, and contribute to the quality and efficiency of aerospace assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Assemble small mechanical and electrical parts for aircraft according to work instructions, blueprints, schematics, and production standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and other equipment to perform precise assembly tasks.
- Perform electronics and electrical assembly work, including wiring, crimping, and soldering as required.
- Follow production line processes to complete high-volume assembly work while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Measure, align, and fit parts using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure accurate assembly.
- Inspect parts and assemblies visually and with basic tools to verify quality and identify defects or nonconformities.
- Read, understand, and follow written instructions, diagrams, and basic blueprints or schematics.
- Perform basic math to support measurements, counts, and documentation related to assembly tasks.
- Handle and move materials and components, including lifting items up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and other employees to coordinate work and resolve issues.
- Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities to enhance processes, quality, and productivity.
- Support team activities, share knowledge, and help train other team members when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with workplace and production guidelines.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of small parts assembly experience.
- Ability to read and write clearly and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform basic math to support measurements and production tasks.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures and other basic gauges.
- Ability to perform assembly work in a high-volume production environment.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily duties.
- Ability to read and work from basic blueprints, schematics, or diagrams.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and general production or assembly line work.
- Experience with electrical and electronics assembly, including wiring and electrical connections.
- Basic soldering skills for electronic and electrical assembly tasks.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with team members.
- Willingness to participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Openness to learning new tasks and processes and supporting team members as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Open to candidates with varying experience levels and willing to provide on-the-job training.
- Experience with electrical wiring, crimping, and electronic assembly is a plus.
- Familiarity with general labor tasks in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Comfort working with both hand and power tools across mechanical and electrical applications.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
