Electrical Test Engineer

Location: Wallkill, NY

Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift (7:30 AM-4:00 PM) with flexible start times available

We are seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to join a growing engineering team in a well-established manufacturing environment.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of electrical laboratory operations, support product development and quality initiatives, and eventually provide leadership within the electrical testing function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee electrical laboratory operations and support the development of lab personnel.
  • Lead and coordinate electrical testing activities to ensure compliance with product specifications and customer requirements.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain electrical test methods, procedures, specifications, and equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret test results and prepare technical reports for engineering, quality, and research teams.
  • Perform qualification testing on new materials and purchased components.
  • Support product development efforts through data collection, testing, and performance analysis.
  • Troubleshoot product and process issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain and improve automated data acquisition systems and testing programs.
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, R&D, and Sales teams.
  • Coordinate maintenance, calibration, and repair of laboratory equipment.
  • Promote a safe working environment while following quality and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience.
  • Experience with electrical and electronics testing.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using laboratory test equipment such as:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • LCR Meters
    • Impedance Analyzers
    • Q-Meters
    • Calipers and Micrometers
  • Experience with LabVIEW.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and capability analysis.
  • Experience working with automated data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with CMS/EMS systems.
  • Experience leading projects, mentoring technicians, or supervising technical teams.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $93000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Full medical, dental, vision, long and short term disability, life, 11 paid holidays, get 1 week of PTO within the first 6 months and an additional 2 weeks throughout the next 6 months and 401K that's up to 65% with a 3% company match
