About this job
Our client, manufacturing operations is seeking a Laser Operator 1st shift to join their team. As a Laser Operator 1st shift, you will be part of the production team supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a focus on quality, and the drive to keep workstations running efficiently—while learning and mastering laser/marking processes that help meet engineering and customer requirements.

Shift: 1st shift
What's the Job?
- Run a laser, laser/ink jet, or E.I.D. marking station to mark Livestock Identification tags according to SOP.
- Label and package product, ensuring packaging is available and correct for the production line.
- Ensure workstation tasks are completed efficiently, on time, and with the desired quality.
- Record downtime accurately and take prompt action when operational malfunctions are observed to protect tag quality.
- Train new employees using a buddy system to perform tasks at levels below the qualification for which you are certified.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating a computer, including the ability to use a mouse, pull files, and learn basic computer skills.
- Basic math proficiency (counting, handling numbers, adding, and subtracting).
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to read, comprehend, and follow SOPs and instructions.
- Ability to comply with Health, Safety, and Environment procedures and established conduct rules for the area.
