The Quality Control Technician is responsible for testing product batches and making necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. This role involves testing incoming raw materials and maintaining Certificates of Analysis from suppliers.
Responsibilities- Perform standard tests on assigned product line production batches and some incoming raw materials to ensure they meet specifications.
- Act as a technical resource to production, addressing issues related to production batches.
- Recommend and potentially develop adjustments to batches to meet specifications.
- Record test results in SAP and maintain reference files.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documents.
- Ensure all gauges and test equipment are verified.
- Participate in investigations of complaints and corrective actions as needed.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of manufacturing/production experience.
- Experience with colorants, mixing/blending, and color matching processes.
- Manufacturing quality experience, including inspections and quality control.
- Laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Chemistry, Color matching, QC inspection, Quality assurance, and Spectrophotometry.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and operations teams.
- Forklift certification/license preferred or required.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Basic to intermediate quantitative/math skills.
- Strong reading comprehension and ability to follow written procedures/work instructions.
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
This position is for the 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday with possible Friday work as needed from 5:30 am to 4 pm. Employees are regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use their hands. Occasionally, they may sit and must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds, with occasional handling of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required, and the use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, and aprons is mandatory. Work is conducted indoors with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock may occur.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
