Job Title: Quality Control InspectorJob Description

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, outsourced products, and finished goods meet stringent quality requirements. This role involves performing incoming inspections, in-process audits, and finished product inspections. Additionally, the inspector will document findings and collaborate closely with production, shipping, purchasing, and supply chain teams to address and resolve quality concerns.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming raw materials and outsourced products.
  • Document and communicate quality issues effectively.
  • Perform line clearance inspections before production runs.
  • Verify line cleanliness and correct packaging materials.
  • Conduct finished product inspections, including fill weights, seals, color, odor, torque, lot codes, and appearance.
  • Review batch records and production documentation.
  • Archive quality reports and records.
  • Train production personnel on quality procedures.
  • Support investigations and resolution of production quality issues.
  • Perform first-run inspections for new products.
Essential Skills
  • 1-3 years of experience performing quality inspections in a manufacturing environment, preferably with cleaners, liquids, or foods.
  • Ability to inspect raw materials and finished products.
  • Experience documenting quality findings and deviations.
  • Understanding of GMPs and quality procedures.
  • Experience reviewing batch records and production documentation.
  • Ability to communicate quality issues with production and supply chain teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
  • Comfortable training operators on quality procedures.
  • Ability to work independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in consumer goods, chemical, household products, or packaging is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills are an advantage but not required.
  • Experience with GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility with a fast-paced production environment. The position primarily requires standing throughout the shift and involves interaction with production, quality, shipping, purchasing, and supply chain teams. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required as per facility guidelines. The schedule involves a 2nd Shift, with initial training conducted on the 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm for the first few months. The 2nd Shift hours are Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM 10:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
