Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Physical Security Specialist to support and enhance the organization's physical security program. This role is responsible for identifying security risks, conducting facility assessments, supporting incident investigations, and administering security technologies that protect personnel, facilities, critical infrastructure, and company assets. The ideal candidate will combine strong security operations knowledge with technical expertise and a proactive approach to risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVAs) to identify risks, evaluate security controls, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Perform facility security inspections to assess compliance, identify vulnerabilities, and support ongoing security improvements.
- Support the investigation, documentation, and resolution of security incidents, threats, and suspicious activities.
- Administer and maintain physical security technologies, including access control systems, video surveillance platforms, and perimeter security solutions.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of capital security improvement projects across company facilities.
- Analyze security trends, vulnerabilities, and incidents to strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
- Support security operations by monitoring programs, maintaining records, and ensuring security procedures are effectively implemented.
- Collaborate with operations, facilities, engineering, information technology, emergency management, and other internal stakeholders on security initiatives.
- Coordinate with external agencies, contractors, and business partners as needed to support security objectives and projects.
- Provide recommendations for security enhancements, technology upgrades, and risk reduction measures.
- Maintain security documentation, reports, assessments, and project records.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience conducting Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVAs) and facility security inspections.
- Knowledge of physical security principles, risk assessment methodologies, and security best practices.
- Experience supporting incident management, investigations, and security operations.
- Hands-on experience with physical security technologies, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter protection systems.
- Ability to identify vulnerabilities, assess risk, and develop practical mitigation strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
- Experience supporting security-related capital improvement projects is preferred.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
