Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ years of experience for a multimodality (X-Ray & CT) role requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification.
Details
- Multimodality Tech position covering both X-Ray and CT
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, Friday-Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend coverage required
- No on-call requirement
- Home location at Kershaw with potential to float to other Midlands Division facilities as needed
- Uses Epic for charting and Sectra for PACS
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
- BLS, ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
- SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required, license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Skills in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies
- Experience with coronary and vascular CTA preferred
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
- Peripheral IV starts and venipuncture skills required
- Radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE knowledge required
- Experience with PACS, Philips, and Siemens equipment preferred
- Pediatric acute and outpatient experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Radiation badge must be provided by the traveling professional, as the facility does not supply one to travelers
- Black and teal scrub color required
- Acute care hospital setting
- Free parking provided with pass at start date
- Travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November)
- Previous staff members must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
- Radius rule of 60 miles applies for travel pay rate eligibility
