Travel X-Ray Technologist


Start Date: October 26, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $56/hour
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,240/week
Shift: Day Shift | 5 × 8-hour shifts
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week

 Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and complex diagnostic X-ray examinations independently.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain examinations clearly.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Assist physicians with fluoroscopy procedures as required.
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and follow established imaging protocols.
  • Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
  • Verify patient identification and follow appropriate imaging orders.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
  • Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe imaging environment.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide compassionate patient care while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced acute care setting.
  • Float between units or departments as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Current ARRT (R) certification.
  • Active Texas state license in hand — required.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Ability to independently perform routine and complex X-ray examinations.
  • Experience assisting with fluoroscopy procedures.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment.
  • Strong communication, patient care, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing departmental needs and float between units.

Travel Experience: Not required. First-time travelers are welcome.
