Job Description
Position Title: Assembly Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Moline, IL
Duration: 12 months contract
Shift: 1st shift, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. (Overtime: Daily or weekend overtime may be required)
Position Summary
Client is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support Seeding Group assembly operations. You’ll address production-floor safety, quality, and efficiency issues, help maintain tooling and equipment uptime, and lead improvement projects that support production goals.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot daily production issues.
- Support and improve tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Lead or contribute to projects involving torque tooling, capital investments, and JDAAT.
- Identify improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with hourly and salaried employees across the factory.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of production or factory-floor support experience in a UAW environment.
- Knowledge of assembly tooling and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
Preferred: Experience with tooling improvements, JDAAT, CIPP, MP Planner/W Planner, Dynamic Line Balancing Tools, SAP, or manufacturing data analysis.
