Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled professional to perform diagnostic imaging examinations in a healthcare setting in Queens, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and operating radiographic equipment, ensuring patient safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Follow physician orders and protocols to capture the necessary images.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including radiation protection measures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning.

 

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
• Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• Proven experience in a radiology department or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
