Customer Service Representative – Piedmont, SC
Hours: 8am-4:30pm (M-F)
Pay: $17.00
Summary: Responsible for effectively provide support to internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of Company products and operations.
Answering calls, placing orders, responding to emails, dealing with invoices and shipment, along with other data entry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Provide timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests.
· Process customer orders/changes according to established department policies and procedures. Orders are to be entered upon receipt. Once entered the can be given to planning Supervisor. After receipt from planning Supervisor orders will be confirmed.
· Maintain updated records of open orders and other reports for discussion on production meetings.
· Input daily production sheets upon receipt into computer system to apply on open orders and update inventory records.
· Process routing sheets from stock and the finishing dept, which includes data entry, verifying ship dates, confirming addresses, means of transportation, payment methods to ensure customer is not CBD.
· The knowledge of issuing and cancelling an invoice.
· Enter carton information including weights so that labels may be generated. Shipping manager will verify labels that are required.
· Double check customer open order report prior to invoicing. Confirm amounts and carton weights and that pricing is correct.
· Print invoice, packing list and attach production back-up with paperwork. Give to reception clerk for processing.
· Initiate orders for replacement products and/or correcting errors (shortages, wrong items processed, incorrect pricing).
· Partner with sales team to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations.
· Analyze and resolves work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
· Interfaces with other departments within the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
· Collects and researches data.
· Demonstrates attention to detail.
· Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Works well in group problem solving situations.
· Customer Service: Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance.
· Oral Communication: Listens and gets clarification; Participates in meetings.

- High school degree or general education degree; and one to three years of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) and AS-400 software.
- Experience in textile manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
