About this job
Job Description
Our Client is seeking a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Engineer to program, commission, and troubleshoot building automation systems for U.S. government facilities worldwide, including U.S. embassies.
This is not a typical BAS role. If you’re an experienced controls engineer who likes complex systems, hands-on problem solving, and the idea of taking your expertise around the world, this opportunity is worth a look.
The travel is significant and should be considered a core part of the job, not an occasional perk. Engineers may travel internationally 6–8 times per year, with assignments lasting up to 90 days at a time. Much of the work is in Europe, with projects in locations such as Germany and Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Belize and other destinations around the world.
Our Client is the exclusive Delta Controls partner serving the U.S. government market. This is a hands-on role for a seasoned controls professional: you’ll program DDC controllers, build sequences of operation and graphics, integrate HVAC and mechanical equipment, and take projects through startup, commissioning, and turnover. Experience with Delta Controls is strongly preferred. Candidates with deep experience on Niagara, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens, or Schneider platforms and the ability to transition quickly to Delta will also be considered.
Our Client will sponsor and manage the U.S. government security clearance process.
