Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) – Day Shift | $36.41–$43.69/hr + $10K Sign-On

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform laboratory testing across multiple areas of the laboratory. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, maintain high-quality standards, and support laboratory operations, quality control, and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers.
• Evaluate and report test results accurately.
• Perform manual laboratory tests according to established procedures.
• Work effectively in all areas of the laboratory, including Microbiology and Immunohematology.
• Perform laboratory quality control, proficiency testing, and Quality Assurance activities.
• Participate in facility performance improvement projects.
• Work independently during on-call situations.
• Follow CLIA, compliance, HIPAA, and laboratory regulatory requirements.
• Assist with research and implementation of new laboratory procedures.
• Work cooperatively with other departments.

Requirements

• Degree in Biology or Chemistry.
• ASCP certification or equivalent.
• Montana State Clinical Laboratory Scientist licensure.
• Knowledge of routine laboratory procedures.
• Experience with Microbiology and Immunohematology .
• Experience with computers, specialized analyzers, and laboratory equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of CLIA, compliance, and HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to work productively without direct supervision.
• Ability to work cooperatively with all departments.
