Shift: Nights – 6:30 PM–7:00 AM, Rotating Weekends
Pay: $27–$37/hr based on experience
Night Differential: $2.50/hr
On-Call: $2/hr
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Night Shift)
Relocation: Case by case

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform stat and routine clinical laboratory testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology. The role requires strong technical knowledge, independent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely laboratory results while maintaining regulatory and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform stat and routine laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for accurate and timely results.
• Perform testing, delta checks, and correlation/interpretation of patient results.
• Complete required records and documentation.
• Perform quality control procedures and take corrective action when results fall outside acceptable parameters.
• Analyze proficiency testing samples within required timeframes.
• Operate laboratory equipment correctly and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions.
• Monitor reagents and supply inventories.
• Handle critical and problem specimens/results according to established procedures.
• Assist with CAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain competency, education, and professional development.
• Support department goals related to quality, compliance, patient satisfaction, and service.

Requirements

• Associate Degree / 2-Year Degree required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• Florida State Technologist License required, or ability to obtain during the interview process.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) experience required.
