Med-Surg Oncology RN

Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547

Shift: Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Position Summary:

The Med-Surg Oncology RN provides safe, patient-centered care while working as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, patient advocacy, medication and treatment education, and ensuring quality and effective use of resources.

Responsibilities:

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.
• Identify expected outcomes and develop individualized care plans.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures, and treatments.
• Provide patients and their families with support throughout their stay.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of RN experience required.
• Acute care experience is not required.
• LTAC, SNF, and other relevant nursing experience accepted.
• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Associate Degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.

• $4.25/hr Night Differential
