Radiation Therapist

Location: Reno, NV

Position Overview

We are seeking skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapists to join an established outpatient oncology practice in Reno, Nevada. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment equipped with advanced radiation therapy and imaging technology.

The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering accurate radiation treatments while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver external beam radiation therapy using a TrueBeam linear accelerator according to prescribed treatment plans.

  • Perform CT simulations and assist with treatment planning, patient positioning, and immobilization.

  • Utilize Vision RT surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT) technology for accurate patient positioning.

  • Assist with HDR brachytherapy procedures under physician supervision.

  • Maintain accurate treatment records, documentation, and radiation dose logs.

  • Monitor patients throughout treatment and provide education and support regarding potential side effects.

  • Follow radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and clinical protocols.

  • Perform quality assurance procedures and help maintain efficient treatment workflows.

  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Required:

  • ARRT (T) certification in Radiation Therapy.

  • Active Nevada Radiation Therapy License or eligibility to obtain one upon hire.

  • Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.

  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety and treatment procedures.

  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred:

  • Previous clinical experience in radiation therapy.

  • Experience with TrueBeam linear accelerators and Vision RT systems.

  • Familiarity with HDR brachytherapy procedures.

  • Experience with ARIA or similar oncology EMR systems.

  • Interest in PET/CT procedures; cross-training opportunities are available.
