As Master Meter enters their next phase of growth, they are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to develop a territory within Ohio, Indiana and Michigan and will play a critical role in expanding our presence within key municipal accounts.
Regional Sales Manager / Sales Territory is Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. Position works from home with significant travel and can be based anywhere in the territory
As a Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for developing and deploying sales strategies that will advance our market share, within the Municipal Market, to achieve profitable growth. You will lead prospecting, sales and business development and represent Master Meter in fostering a trusted relationship with customers and our Distribution partners. Master Meter is looking for an energetic, versatile and collaborative individual who can work effectively across all levels of an organization. You must be a proven sales professional with a strong drive to succeed and an entrepreneurial mindset, eager to foster team growth through shared knowledge and experience. Your focus will be expanding your territory and ensuring alignment with our strategic vision.

Objectives and Responsibilities:
- This role requires active territory management, relationship development, prospecting, and consistent cold-calling efforts to generate new business and drive revenue growth.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to support overall company growth objectives to drive market share, revenue growth and profitability within the assigned territory
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with distributors and water utility companies
- Provide support to distributor sales personnel including business plan development and execution, product training, technical support, joint sales calls, and warranty support
- Establish direct utility sales in market areas not currently covered by distribution
- Manage future sales pipeline and provide accurate data for sales forecasting
- Represent Master Meter at local and regional trade shows
- Maintain records of sales activity within CRM tool (Salesforce.com)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- At least 4-7 years of proven sales experience driving territory growth of innovative technology within municipalities or other government organizations with a track record of success
- Proven track record of sales success, with a deep understanding of the sales cycle and experience working through distributor channels
- Demonstrated ability to effectively forecast sales growth
- Ability to gather and understand market changes and forces that influence Municipal buying decisions
- Demonstrated ability to act as a brand ambassador
- Driven, entrepreneurial minded individual with strong business acumen
- Proven ability to develop trusted relationships and follow through on commitments
- Ability to think strategically and work with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Self-starter, flexible and willing to work on tasks unrelated to your primary role
- Territory travel required
- Familiarity with Meters and/or AMI & AMR Systems
- Prior Experience with Salesforce.com

- Operate remotely within the assigned territory while maintaining regular travel to customer accounts, distributor partner locations, and prospective customer sites.
- Salary ($90,000 annual) plus Commission based competitive compensation
