Join a leading healthcare organization as a Travel Radiology Technologist in Santa Fe, NM. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing exceptional care to patients. As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform radiographic procedures as requested by physicians and Radiologists, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with established department protocols and within standard time frames.
- Prepare and orient patients for procedures to be performed.
- Provide patient care while in the Radiology Department.
- Ensure radiation protection for patients, fellow workers, and yourself.
- Operate imaging equipment, computers, and other department equipment, maintaining them according to department and manufacturer recommendations.
- Check patients for prior studies in PACS and request a merge if needed.
- Maintain written and computerized documentation in accordance with department and hospital policy.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly, stocking supplies as needed.
- Exhibit a cooperative and courteous demeanor towards patients, visitors, physicians, staff, and co-workers.
- Maintain current knowledge of radiologic technology and participate in professional continuing education workshops and programs.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.
- Experience: Minimum one year experience required, which can be substituted with clinical education experience.
- Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required. BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association required.
This position requires weekend and on-call availability, as well as the ability to float between locations as needed. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of advanced anatomy and be able to obtain diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
